Gingerah Geothermal Pre-feasibility Study

Gingerah Geothermal Pre-feasibility Study

JRG Energy delivered a pre-feasibility study for the Gingerah Geothermal(GEP-47) project, integrating geological, structural, hydrogeological, and geothermal reservoir data into a 3D conceptual model. Temperature modelling was performed using the Waiwera geothermal simulator, and an initial resource assessment evaluated viability for power generation using EGS technology. The study also benchmarked the project against comparable global projects and identified potential investors and off-takers.

Coil Tubing Well Intervention Campaign

JRG Energy managed a coil tubing well intervention campaign across two major production wells for the Philippines’ Energy Development Corporation. The project encompassed pre-job planning and engineering, procurement of specialised tools, site supervision, operator training and comprehensive reporting. The intervention delivered over 7 additional MW of combined output across the two wells, delivering a significant and measurable improvement in field productivity.

Gran Canaria Deep Geothermal Feasibility & Drilling Programme

JRG Energy is providing technical assistance and project management for the AGEOGC EV feasibility study on deep geothermal resources in southeast GranCanaria. The scope covers project coordination, regulatory and IDAE compliance, geoscience data integration, conceptual and numerical reservoir modelling, resource evaluation and exploration well targeting, drilling programme preparation and IDS tender documentation, plus supervision of up to three ~2,700 m […]

Hawaii Geothermal Development Roadmap

Commissioned by DBEDT (via Waika consulting), JRG Energy prepared a step-by-step roadmap outlining all elements required to bring a geothermal power station to life on Hawaii Island. Written for a broad stakeholder audience in accessible language, the report provides an overview of geothermal science, the full commercial development pathway, and investment decision-making steps — equipping government, communities, and developers with […]

St Andrews Beach Hot Springs Development

JRG Energy is supporting the development of a low-temperature geothermal groundwater system to supply naturally heated water for a proposed hot springs resort at St Andrews Beach Golf Course on Victoria’s Mornington Peninsula. The project targets the Lower Tertiary Werribee aquifer at 540–650m depth, with well test results confirming flows of up to 16.8 L/s at 43.3°C. Scope […]

FRENZ — Caribbean Renewable Energy Programme

JRG Energy is a core delivery partner for the NZ-MFAT funded FRENZ programme supporting geothermal and renewable energy development across the Caribbean. Activities span geoscience studies, feasibility, drilling supervision, environmental planning, and capacity building. Countries supported include Dominica, Grenada, St. Lucia, and St. Vincent, with broader engagement across Belize, Guyana, Jamaica, and regional organisations including the OECS, CDB, and CCREEE.

Exploration Slimhole Completion Testing

JRG Energy was engaged to plan, supervise, and document completion testing for an exploration slimhole in Nevada. Testing was completed successfully in enabling estimation of reservoir temperature and permeability-thickness of both matrix and fracture systems — providing the client with the fundamental reservoir parameters needed to evaluate the commercial potential of this early-stage geothermal exploration target.

Peninsula Hot Springs Vendor Due Diligence

JRG Energy were engaged to prepare a vendor due diligence sales assessment for Peninsula Hot Springs, a leading geothermal mineral springs and wellness destination offering over 70 bathing and wellness experiences. The assessment provided prospective purchasers with a comprehensive technical overview of the site’s geothermal water infrastructure, supporting the proposed divestment of the facility.

Mine Water Geothermal Project Australia

Building on a prior high-level assessment of using local mine water as a low-carbon thermal source, JRG Energy delivered the next-stage technical, economic, and risk-based feasibility for integrating mine water geothermal into the greenfield Peter Krenz Leisure Centre. Deliverables include a project inception report and plan, a review of licences and agreements required, an uncertainty and reliability assessment of […]

Ground Source Heat Pump (GSHP) Feasibility, Central London

JRG Energy supported a major London office development in evaluating Ground Source Heat Pump (GSHP) options for a low-carbon heating and cooling strategy. We carried out a geothermal resource assessment of the subsurface geology and hydrogeology at the central London site, generated GSHP system options tailored to the client’s requirements, and delivered recommendations that confirmed […]
