Building on a prior high-level assessment of using local mine water as a low-carbon thermal source, JRG Energy delivered the next-stage technical, economic, and risk-based feasibility for integrating mine water geothermal into the greenfield Peter Krenz Leisure Centre. Deliverables include a project inception report and plan, a review of licences and agreements required, an uncertainty and reliability assessment of the heat source, and a reviewed CAPEX/OPEX estimate to inform Council’s investment decision.
