Scale Broaching Campaign — Mak-Ban and Tiwi

Scale Broaching Campaign — Mak-Ban and Tiwi

JRG Energy mobilised at short notice to execute a challenging broaching campaign across six wells at Mak-Ban and Tiwi. Several wells were fully plugged, requiring coiled tubing and rig milling interventions. JRG demonstrated full wellbore access to TD on some wells, recovered one well to production for the first time in 12 years, and made significant broaching […]

Montserrat Geothermal Well Testing Programme

JRG Energy developed and executed geothermal well tests on two wells in Montserrat for the island’s government. The full scope included front-end engineering and design, well test equipment procurement, wellbore simulations, programme development, geochemical sampling, and field execution — delivering a rigorous, independently managed testing campaign to characterise Montserrat’s geothermal resource for future development planning.

Coil Tubing Well Intervention Campaign

JRG Energy managed a coil tubing well intervention campaign across two major production wells for the Philippines’ Energy Development Corporation. The project encompassed pre-job planning and engineering, procurement of specialised tools, site supervision, operator training and comprehensive reporting. The intervention delivered over 7 additional MW of combined output across the two wells, delivering a significant and measurable improvement in field productivity.

Scale Broaching Campaign

JRG Energy mobilised equipment and personnel at very short notice to undertake a challenging broaching campaign across multiple wells. Working on severely plugged wellbores — some with no hole remaining — JRG deployed CT and rig milling solutions to restore production. One well was returned to production for the first time in 12 years; others achieved full wellbore access to total depth […]

FRENZ — Caribbean Renewable Energy Programme

JRG Energy is a core delivery partner for the NZ-MFAT funded FRENZ programme supporting geothermal and renewable energy development across the Caribbean. Activities span geoscience studies, feasibility, drilling supervision, environmental planning, and capacity building. Countries supported include Dominica, Grenada, St. Lucia, and St. Vincent, with broader engagement across Belize, Guyana, Jamaica, and regional organisations including the OECS, CDB, and CCREEE.

DTS Fibre Optic Monitoring System Installation

JRG Energy was appointed to procure and install a Distributed Temperature Sensing (DTS) fibre optic monitoring system in the BO-2 monitoring well at the Bouillante geothermal field. The installation enables continuous remote monitoring of the downhole temperature profile and downhole pressure measurement via capillary tubing — replacing the need for regular PTS logging runs and […]
