Neale Young is a Mechanical Engineer and Wells Specialist with more than 15 years of experience delivering well construction, intervention, testing and energy projects across the oil & gas and geothermal sectors.
Prior to joining JRG Energy, Neale spent over a decade with Shell supporting offshore completions and well intervention operations across the UK, Norwegian and Dutch Continental Shelves as well as North Africa. During this time, he held technical and operational leadership roles supporting subsea and platform-based well operations, including rigless light well intervention, workovers and production enhancement activities.
Since joining JRG Energy, Neale has supported geothermal drilling, well testing and field development programmes across Latin America, the Caribbean, Africa, Europe and the Middle East. His experience spans operational planning, procurement, contractor management, field execution, reservoir testing and project delivery support.
Neale specialises in bridging the gap between subsurface objectives and field execution, helping clients de-risk projects and progress geothermal resources from exploration through to development. He is passionate about the role geothermal energy can play in delivering reliable low-carbon power, industrial heat and broader energy transition outcomes.
