Azerbaijan National Geothermal Assessment

Engaged by the World Bank in collaboration with the Government of Azerbaijan, JRG Energy conducted a nationwide assessment of geothermal energy potential. The project mapped geothermal resource distribution, evaluated the technical and commercial viability of direct-use applications, and identified opportunities to leverage the country’s existing oil and gas expertise. Recommendations focus on decarbonising industry, reducing fossil fuel dependency, and enhancing local economies through geothermal heat and power.
