Senior Legal Advisor

Mr. Sebastián Saá’s practice focuses on Energy and Natural Resources matters, particularly on government contracting, international negotiations, and mergers and acquisitions. He has participated in multiple committees to develop and draft regulation frameworks and advised in several PPA´s for the energy sector in Ecuador. He advised the government of Ecuador in the amendment of the Hydrocarbon law and the model Profit Sharing Agreement for the O&G sector.​

Sebastián was a partner in a prestigious Ecuadorian firm, where he led the Energy and Natural Resources area. Sebastian acted as counsel for one of the few projects of direct supply of hydroelectrical self-generation in Ecuador. He was the senior legal advisor for the Tulu Moye Geothermal project in charge of drafting a red flag report for MIGA and the World Bank. Currently, he co-heads the energy and natural resources practice at one of South American leading regional firms. Sebastián is an advocate for the development of non-conventional renewable energy in the region, participating as a speaker and moderator in multiple forums.
