John started his career as a wireline field engineer with Schlumberger, gaining experience across North America and Australasia in onshore, offshore, deepwater, mineral, and geothermal exploration. He later moved to New Zealand to work in the geothermal industry, taking on the role of Well Services Manager at a geothermal service company.
With extensive expertise in wireline logging, well-testing, scale removal, coil tubing workovers, and capillary tubing system designs, John has worked across geothermal sites worldwide, including Mexico, Philippines, Indonesia, Africa, New Zealand, USA, and Europe. Currently, as Director of Operations at JRG Energy, he oversees the services and consulting division while maintaining a hands-on role in the field.
